Block work to come

The red block on the right was the first sample of red block. The red on top is the new sample for what the red block of the building will look like - much brighter!

IAC 6-7-05

Takes a great crew to make a good and FAST pour! Today 1/2 of the ground floor was poured for the IAC/RCPC building. Dave arrived at 3am, Jeremy & Ryan at 4am, and Glenn & Chris at 5am to prepare for the concrete crew to arrive at 6am. By 9:30am our crew had finished the actual pour and was enjoying sitting down and eating donuts (a very special thank you goes out to Dennis from the crew this morning for the donuts and treats on such a hard and early day!) By 2pm the finishers wrapped up and heading home! What a sucessful day!

Finishing up the last few inches of the pour

Dave, running the power screed, and Jeremy, guiding the power screed, make fast work of the poured concrete.

To move the power screed around the steel poles took two 2'x4' boards and lots of muscle power.

Dave hauled the power screed off once the pour was finished

Wow!

Up close and personal - the power screed in action

Our finishing crew making passes with the power trowels

One truck leaves and another takes its place - 1/2 of the building required over 120 yards of concrete
